In the early October 2015,
KMF had got the information about defective Halal Hot chicken noodle (Buldalk Bokkeum Myeon) form Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
And KMF made the explain information for this problem.
In April 2016,
KMF is asking the same question about this again.
Below is answer from Samyang food.
Hot chicken noodle (Buldalk Bokkeum Myeon) with halal logo neither contains pork nor pork-derived ingredients in it and above all, it is produced in a different production line separate from Non-halal noodles.
Halal certified Hot chicken noodles are produced in a different production line separate from Non-halal noodles in order to observe Halal standard.
That's why hot chicken exported to Malaysia has Halal logo, while hot chicken for domestic sales has no Halal.
According to Korean labeling regulation, allergy causing foods commonly to Korean should be indicated on the package and the common allergenic foods are eggs, milk, ,peanut, soybean, mackerel, wheat, buckwheat peach, pork, tomato crab, shrimp, prawn.
halal certified noodles , although using Korean single pack , are produced in a different line for halal products separate from non-halal products which may have either port or no port in it.
The reason for using Korean package for single pack is that Korean packaged is believed to attract consumers who like Korean cultures of k-pop, drama and food.
So, we used English package as multi-pack with halal logo, while using Korean package for single pack , although noodles are produced in Halal specific line.
Now, KMF is asking more information to Samyang Food for correct situation.
